The Treatment of Eye Disorders in TCM

Eye and vision disorders, either acute or chronic, bring stress, discomfort, lead to accidents, frustration, mental tiredness and affect our quality of life.

In this 2-day seminar, after a brief review of the anatomy and physiology of the eyes in Western medicine, Dr. Yang will discuss the TCM diagnosis and syndrome differentiation on both on the local and general levels.

After discussing different kinds of diseases and conditions of the eyes, she will introduce the treatment, including acupuncture and herbs. Moreover, she will provide additional possibilities such as self-massage or acupressure, and dietary advice to enhance the effects of acupuncture and herbs.

Moreover, she will evaluate the efficiency and limitations of a therapy in specific situation. She will also talk about treatment duration, cautions and prognosis of treatment.

In this webinar, there are also time for questions from participants, acupuncture and acupressure exercises.

1st day:

2nd day
  • Dry and tried eyes, blurred vision

  • Conjunctivitis and subconjunctival hemorrhage
  • Burning, itching and painful sensations of eyes in allergy
