The Treatment of Chronic or Recurrent Cystitis with TCM

Chronic or recurrent cystitis brings suffering and stress. It is a condition which women often seek help from a TCM practitioner when they want to avoid the use of antibiotics which sometimes do not help sufficiently and also bring side effects. In this lecture, Dr. Yang will briefly introduce the understanding of chronic or recurrent cystitis in western medicine. After that, she will analyze the pathology and explain the symptoms and signs and why this disorder can become chronic and difficult to get rid of. Furthermore, she will introduce the treatment methods, including acupuncture, Chinese herbs, dietary advice and life style advice. From her more than 30 years of experience, she will give tips in the diagnosis and treatment, also give the prognosis and evaluation of treatment and cautions for treatment.

This lecture will cover focus on treatment using the following therapies: Chinese herbal medicine 50%, acupuncture 20%, dietary advice 20% and lifestyle advice 10%.

The Treatment of Urinary Incontinence with TCM

Urinary incontinence often affects women as they become older or after childbirth. Urinary incontinence brings stress, inconvenience and it weakens a women’s confidence. In this short lecture Dr. Yang will give treatment tips and explain the proper methods to treat this condition.
 
This lecture will cover focus on treatment using the following therapies: Chinese herbal medicine 40%, acupuncture 40% and lifestyle advice 20%.
